Poweraxel Question

I was wondering if the poweraxel tune leaves any traces of itself when you flash back to stock? Just in case you need to take the car back to the dealer or something.

Thanks also one final question does a poweraxel need a dyno tune with intake and exhaust? I mean is it safe w/o one?

I would guess no since the ECU will adjust AFRs somewhat, but I think this question would be better answered by someone that already has the PowerX tune. It will also depend on what PowerX tune you have. For instance, if memory serves me correctly I believe that BeyondRedline's custom PowerX tune is a little more lean giving a little more power. If that is the case, then you have to be a little more careful flowing more air in & out. So, I/E might make a difference, but I'm not sure. Anyone else have some insight regarding this question?

From what I read from beyondredline, they say they run it richer than they need to. But still tuned in for people with PowerX tune to chime in.

Beyond Redline and PowerAxel offer tunes taylored to different bolt ons and an intake/exhaust definitely fit that bill. The reflash alone on a stock car nets some pretty impressive gains (~45whp/85wtq) and adding bolt ons to that base tune will probably net 5-8whp/2-3wtq (estimate based on observed results). To directly answer your question, no, you don't NEED a reflash/tune BUT if you want to get the most out of your bolt ons a tune is advisable.

If I can jump on and ask a question to piggy back his. How safe is it to get that taylored tune done over there and then sent to you in comparison to someone tuning w/ the DynoJet CMD? I've been mixed on which way to go. And how about Road Race's Next Stage Power Pro?
