I guess someone found a way to pull the rom, but they cant do anything with it and need some sort of help. Well see how this turns out. Open ECU would be a welcome improvement and save a lot of money in building and tuning.

Hopefully he gets some help with figuring it out but being almost 2 months old with only 1 reply.... That would be pretty sweet to have as an option though.

I downloaded open ecu to see if the rom would work but its not recognized. Most likely because of the encryption. God, for a tuner car this encryption shit pisses me off. How can you tune a car if you don't have access to it's ecu. SHHSEH! I wish you could pay like and extra 1k at the dealer for a Hyundai mod that is the same ECU unencrypted and they like void your power train warranty in respect to the parts that will break under high load stress or something you know?

Agreed. Or even pay less and wave the engine warranty all together... I still want to have stuff like stero, power windows, etc covered but I think a discount for no warranty on engine internals, turbo, and clutch would be a good option. Keep that transmission covered though, IMO.

It wouldn't be feasable to warranty the tranny either with all that power. But I agree, remove the 10yr/100k drive train warranty & keep the 5yr/60k on the rest of the car.

But sadly, this will never happen & we will continue voiding our warranties

i got someone working on it right now!

A very good engine builder once told me, "If you break her in soft, she'll only like it soft; if you break her in hard, she'll scream every time you go for a ride." So that's how I see it.

Turbo cars are like hot women. A little edgy, every guy wants one, some guys can't handle them, and if you throw a little alcohol in them they'll rock your world
