I wanted more up-to-date auto reliability information that included actual repair rates. So in late 2005 I started getting people together to make this possible. TrueDelta now reports absolute repair rates that make the differences between cars much clearer. Results are updated four times a year, so it's possible to provide reliability stats on a new model like the Genesis way ahead of any other source.
We're already reporting a result for the Genesis sedan--about average so far, pretty good for a complex all-new vehicle.
We'd like to do the same for the Genesis coupe--all depends on how quickly enough owners join and participate.
Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.
To encourage participation, participants receive full access to all results, not just those for the Genesis, for free. I'll post results, once we have them, to this thread.
We have updated our car reliability stats for the Genesis (on our redesigned site) to include owner experiences through September 30, 2011.
Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:
2011 sedan: 29
2011 coupe: 45, very small sammple size
2010 sedan: 71
2010 coupe: 50
2009 sedan: 65
All except the 2011 sedan are about average.
We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.

We've updated our reliability stats for the Genesis to include owner experiences through the end of 2015, about eight months ahead of other sources. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year--lower is better:
