My key is lost. What should I do?

Hi Guys,

I lost my car key. I do not know if someone who got it will open my car. so I need to reprogram my car key. I was told that there is a tool called car key programmer which can do it. But I do not know which one is best for home use. Did you have ever do it before? Which brand is best? Today I search on line and found a tool named T300 key programmer . Have you heard it before? How about it? Please give me some advise. Thanks!!

Another problem is what should I do before I reprogram my car key? What measures should I take?

Just take the key fob you still have & go to the dealer to have it programmed which will make the other remove fob inop. If you choose to purchase another key fob while there to replace the lost one, you can have it programmed at ths same time.

I would do this as well. The programming is likely rather inexpensive, a new FOB may be slightly pricey but having 2 keys is a good idea.

The smart key fobs range from about $225-$275 and programming one or tow of them should run about $49.95.
