So now that we know the color options and interiors for the coupe what is everyone's personal choice?

White. Black wheels with red lip (time attack style ftw). :p

Hello everyone, for me it most definitely has to be 2.0T Track or R-Spec in either Nordshleife Gray, Karusell White or Bathurst Black :aargh:. Then probably get the dealer to swap out the deck lid for one without the spoiler, black nickel plated emblems & wheels, lowered stance, 20% window tint, get a lip spoiler for the trunk, that's all I can come up with right now.

For race...white, its lightest paint scheme and make low temperature in engine room....color reflect sun

For street....gray or silver except owned too many silver cars..

Black is nice.....hard to maintain....too lazy to make clean all time.

Didn't I post earlier here?

I thought yellow was the lightest paint.
My dad is an automotive painter and he has always said this.
White paint is usually thick and opaque. it covers most colors pretty good.
Yellow on the other hand doesn't cover anything. Any slight change in the base color will show through on yellow paint.

But in any case, your only saving a few grams at most. Theres no way that different color paint would net even a pound of weight savings, so its really irrelevant.

The yellow on the gen coupe is unique to say the least. In the sunlight different parts of the car will appear to have this shimmering rainbow type color to it when the car is really clean. Can't explain it. Definatly looks cool though. I've been keeping my yellow 3.8l track clean as a whistle ever since I bought it. Put on two layers of Megiuars Gold Class wax, and every other day I wipe it down with ultimate quik detailer.

Hi all, I'm new here. i am interested in the genesis coupe. I am leaning towards the 3.8 GT in Mirabeau Blue; however, i'm not sure how it looks compared to its photos and how it looks with the manditory brown? i went to 2 dealer so far and neither of them had this model or color.

while i haven't seen the brown leather as its an american only feature, i can tell you with certainty that the exterior color is gorgeous!
I saw one in the lot a couple weeks ago. It had just rained the day before and the cars hadn't been wiped off yet.
Unless you looked real close, the dust on the blue was not apparent. It was the best looking of all the colors once dirty.
Also, when its clean, the color just shines amazingly in the sun.

as for the brown interior, I really like that color. Brown contrasts amazingly against the vibrant Mirabeau blue.
Here's the best example i could find.

Welcome to the site joejoe66. The Mirabeau blue is one of the better, if not the best, color on this car IMO. We've had about 4 of that color come in & sold quickly. Also; take a minute to introduce yourself in the new member intro section.

I am pretty sure every car I own will be black. Red leather interior is my favorite but I cant afford that just yet in my cars. If you have ever seen a black BMW/GTO with red leather interior, it looks SICK.

I think black is hard to keep clean, but there is nothing better looking then a black car right after you detail it.

+1. If the dealer would have had White, I probably would have had one hell of a time deciding. But since they only had Black, I got it. Sometimes I wonder if I should've waited.. but.. I still have the car and I'm damn happy with it. :shifting: :dunno:

My last car was black & my bro's GenCoupe is black, so I went for the red & haven't washed it yet. Hell I didn't even let them wash it at the dealership during delivery, don't trust anyone else to touch my car. But I must say, considering I've had the car almost 2 months, it doesn't look that dirty. I feel for those of you that have black, been there / done that & more power to you, because your going to need it for all those washes...LoL

P.S It is hard to make a car look better than black when it is blinging clean.

Well My eclipse was RED (BRIGHT) and then my Tib was orignally Carbon Matallic grey then added the two-tone Chill pepper red on top to match the interior and left it carbon grey on bottom and now i drive my black GC...

Tufast i wish i could go without washing mine.. i probably washed it about 10times now even with all the rain and snow.

but i do agree with you not just because i own a black car but when a black car is washed and waxed boy does it shin!

Black. Usually wash it 2-3 times a month but I haven't washed it in the last 2 months...lol. Cold, snow rain...I will be detailing the HELL out of it (hopefully) Saturday for the mini-meet here in Columbus, GA.
