GPS Navigation

After making several long trips in my 3.8 sedan, I've come to the conclusion that the nav system is retarded. Several times it gave me a route, and at the last minute, we decided to go a different way to see more scenery. This nav almost smoked itself trying to get me to turn around and go back. I also did searches for a rest area, and with a rest area within ten miles, it didn't show it. But, it did show the ones that were BEHIND me as far as 20 miles away. It wouldn't show one that I knew was there until I was 1 mile away. Still, it showed the ones behind me. Some addresses, t won't even accept. These have been on the map for 50 years, and it won't recognize it. It really sends me some wierd ways, also. Like I said, it doesn't like for the route to be changed. It'll spend 20 miles trying to get me to turn around. I guess my Garmin will be used from now on. The dealer wants $400 to upgrade, and I don't think so! I wouldn't invest ten cents in this piece of junk.

I just got the latest (Oct 2012) upgrade for my 2012 Genesis 3.8 with Tech and lux packages. It still shows some funky routes and it won't show any restaurants 'in route'. Compared to my old portable Garmin GPS, the Hyundai factory GPS software is pityful. My advice is to not waist your money on an upgrade. Just go buy a new Garmin for less than $200 with free upgrades!
