What I mean by that is how the little screen says D (For Drive), P (For Park), and etc.. was blank. I was still able to move the gear selecter and choose a gear. I didn't experiance any revving issues, it's just that selecting a gear was a little harder then normal.

I'll bring my car in when I have the time - However, the dealership down here (Red McCombs) doesn't have the greatest service department. I once brought in my tiburon for leaking coolant, and when they brought the car back out they hadn't even fixed the problem with the clamp. I had to basically tell them to go replace the clamp, and the problem was solved. So I don't expect them to fix jack or shit unless there is a TSB relating to this issue.
If there's another dealer within a reasonble distance, take to them & give them a try. It will be worth it in the end to go out of your way to get it fixed properly by someone that has a clue, plus the svc advisor maybe easier to deal with.

Either way guys, write a review on your service experiences, as well as, the sales expereinces in the dealer reviews section.

As Tufast mentioned, the brake light could be a suspect in the mysterious ESC light problem, but I don't think it would explain the high revs or the trans jerking into gear. I have about 1800 miles on my car so far, and it has always been a bit harsher than most other cars when going from park to drive, but as stated, I just usually hold my foot on the brake a little harder. The engine/trans. management system is constantly checking components for proper operation. A bad brake light switch will cause the computer to disable the ESC which turns on the light. A failure or fault in any part of the electronic throttle system will also cause the ESC system to be disabled. I'm thinking this may have a higher likelihood of being your problem, because it explains the ESC light, as well as the rev issue. There was a very similar issue with the electronic throttle position sensor mounted to the accelerator pedal on the Azeras. The Coupe has a very similar setup.

If I had to make a bet, I'd say it was the throttle position sensor that's part of the accelerator pedal assembly.
Thanks DD, I've missed you the last few days. I posted some part #s on the suspension of the GenCoupes. If you don't mind taking a look at them to make sure that they are correct. Here's the link:
Track pkg springs are different

Yeah, I forget about those accelerator pedal sensor malfunctions, you may be on to something there.

I'm glad it was something simple & wasn't a defective part. Just a connector from the factory not plugged in all the way, Phew too.

No reason to be angry at the dealer service dept, or the tech that worked on it. You brought it in the first time, they found the problem to be an unplugged connector. They plugged it back in and fixed the problem. The fact it has happened again is not their fault... they are not psychic and can't control this kind of thing. It may or may not be the same problem, but don't get all pissed at them for it happening again. If it IS unplugged again, then apparently you have a broken connector or the wiring is in a bind causing it to come unplugged. If that is the case then they will take care of it. There was nothing to lead them to believe that the exact problem would happen again.

yeah, I understand, and know they want it fixed too. It's just I would expect this on a Honda Fit, or a yaris, or accent, but after paying almost 30k for a car, i guess expectations are a little higher especially since I only have 2k miles on it. Oh well, i guess not all of them are 100% perfect rolling out of the factory.
