Stereo shuts off randomly sometimes

Has anyone else had any issues like this? My brother and I are having the same problem.

from time to time, at complete random, the stereo will shut off for a split second. It sounds like a pop noise coming from the speakers, and then the radio comes back on
This seems to happen more often while listening to XM, but has occurred while listening to FM radio as well.
I know the whole stereo powers down, and not just the speaker pop, because it always resyncs with my phone a minute later.

The exact same issue has been happening to my car and my brothers.
There must be others who have had similar issues.

mine turns off the music and says loading for a few seconds then comes back, i dont know if its the same thing that yours is doing

joshua, yours sounds like it lost XM signal & is trying to reconnect.

Pumcy, since yours & your brothers are doing it with XM & FM, plus has the pop coming from the speakers, I would take it in to be checked.

omg mine does it too... But it is only on XM channels and I wasnt sure what to make of it. I was going to take it in to have them look at the cable or something.

Don't bother, because XM will cut out like that due to clouds, trees, buildings, etc. My Alpine with built XM does the same thing. It is one of the characteritics of XM radio.
