You mean to tell me that you double-clutch when changing from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd, and 3rd to 4th, etc...?

I can see double-down-clutching, in fact it helps quite a bit, but when going up the gears?

So are they doing all this work to find out how to fix our cars or how to help the next generation genesis coupe?

I hope both......When any auto manufacture finds concerns with a product, they will want to correct it for future generations. But, they will also want to implement the improvement on cars of that same generation that have not been assembled yet. They will also want to retrofit the cars already relseased with said issue by way of recall campaign of technical service bulletin.

yeah, right now the only thing that has me spooked about the r-spec is the quality thing. i really dont want to buy a car that has perpetual design flaws that i have to live with for years. it doesn't matter how sexy something is if its always falling apart

i really really really hope they fix all of these problems by december.

Yeah my shop foreman stated this morning that he's suprised at how many problems the GenCoupe is having compared to other Hyundais, even the Genesis sedan that has way more advanced gadgets to tear up. I've said it B4 & I'll say it again, this is NOT the norm for Hyundai & I hope they get all these issues fixed real quick as well. They normally get stuff taken care of pretty swiftly once they realize there is an issue. I'm glad in this respect that it will be a while B4 my current car is paid off, so that I can pick up my R-Spec. That will give them plenty of time to correct everything & hopefully make some advancements.

I have rare grinding going from 1st to 2nd during heavy driving, and rarely from 2nd to 3rd under regular driving. The shift knob also rattled in mine, and the dealership told me that Hyundai redesigned the shift knob to fix that problem, was covered under warranty work.

from what I've read you can have the rev hang time reduced from 3 seconds to 0.1 seconds through the dealer. which is a pretty big difference.

let me know if you really can do that.

No grinding just doesnt like to go into gear when downshifting. It is a fight most of the time in slow traffic or stopping and going back into 1st or 2nd... I hate the trans in this car!
