Default RRM intake installed today (PICS)

Very easy install like 15 minutes. This intake sounds great especially at high RPMs. Car feels smooth and responsive. Well worth the money and has the ideal sound i want. Here are the pics.

Nice, thanks for posting 'em. Looks like I'm gonna follow directly in your footsteps. The only mods I ever intended was air intake, exhaust and tune. Right now, I'm leaning towards the 7ism exhaust and the RRM intake. Now I'm just waiting on a good tune to come out for the 3.8 and I'll be in business.

oh btw, i wanted to add something to this

you will all note that the intake utilizes an adapter. unlike other who just slapped a cone to the end (DIY version), or companies that just use a coupler to clamp onto the maf housing, the adapter serves 2 purposes.

RRM wanted to use a larger filter, something to draw in more air. imagine the adapter as a funnel. i'm sure most of you tried the funnel in college. i know i have. as you know, as the circumference of the funnel gets smaller, the liquid moves faster, and in essence gets sucked in faster than say if it was just a straight tube. the adapter does the same thing for air. allows more air in, and slams it into the motor faster in larger amounts.

just something to consider

chico1313, i hope it's ok, but i posted your review on another site also

Its cool bro you migh want to add as i want to add that my gas mileage has drastically improved. Those of you here that know who i am I think the first here on this site to have the gencoupe know I am very truthful. To give you an example of what i mean. When I fill up my range always says about 256 miles. i also reset my trip to see how accurate the range is. Well its pretty damn accurate within a few miles of the range. I always check my trip when my range gets to 200 miles left. Well with the intake when I filled up it says 256 like always and today when I checked the range when I had 200 miles left the trip said I had already done 80 miles. To simplify this the intake has defenitely improved my gas mileage+performance. my MPG is averaging 21-22 where as before it was 17.5-18.5 mpg. Anyone else who has done this or will do this should tell you the same. And when I put the 7ism exhaust i noticed no difference in MPG thats how I know its the intake. -sigh- (damn that was a lot of typing) if theres any other questions let me know. I will post 2 short videos later 1 of the 7ism exhaust reving and the other of a 1st to 2nd gear fly-by where you should be able to hear the intake as it comes and the exhaust as it goes. it was done with an iphone so i dont know the quality. Later everyone. Gotta go play some Fight Night round 4 and Call of Duty world at war.
