New 30000k HIDS....have questions.

I just installed my 30000k blue HIDS. The only new thing i got with these HIDS was the temperature and wattage of ballast. I got 55 watt ballast.. after installing them my fuse burnt out twice. I decided to take the advice of a friend of mine who is a mechanic at SAMES. so i now have a 25 amp fuse instead of the regular 10 amp fuse. Do you think i have done wrong. I dont leave my lights on too much for the fact that i dont know if the original wire will burn out or melt my bulb housing.

I know that from reading forums over the years usually the 55 watt bulbs get way too hot and will start to melt some of the plastic. Not always but sometimes. As for the fuse I wouldn't put a bigger one in than stock. They put the 10 amp in there because that's the proper amp for what's wired. That big of a jump from 10-25 could short out or ruin some of the wiring. Just my opinion. On another note can you see with the 30000K bulbs? I always though the higher the K the brighter they were but the light didn't travel as far. Maybe I'm wrong.

Well this kit is installed on my fogs.... and they are brighter than my low beams. I do know that you shouldnt install 55watt ballast to projectors beams so which is why i installed them to the fogs. The higher the K the more color you'll see in them, the lower you go the brighter they'll get.

Good lord, 30000K? as in 30? You should go to jail for reckless endangerment.

30K fogs.. you're blinding the hell out of everyone on the road considering there is almost no cutoff with the fogs. That reflective housing scatters the light all over the place.

I do not approve of blinding people but at least you are low to the ground. Around here everybody tailgates in their lifted trucks with their brights on. Pisses me the fuck off.

I hope you don't live anywhere near me, as 10k lamps piss me the fuck off! Anything above that will probably cause a level of road rage that even I can not contain!

I have a lifted Jeep Wrangler, but only run PIAA headlamps with 7K non-HID bulbs for driving. I have additionally installed several KCs that I reserve for off road purposes, except for instances on the road when some ricer blindes me with their "blue" lamps.
