Yeah I love HID kits I have put them on every car I have owend... Once you drive with them you will never want to go back. But I totally agree with this post. A lot of the time you don't even know it or think about it but the projector also dulls the light when it aims it. Some kits can be so intense that they can burn in inside of your eye when you look at them. This was a problem BMW had when they first started running these lights back in the day.

I have a 3500k im waiting to install in my fogs it will look nice at night.

I wouldn't recommend it since those OEM HID bulbs are still under warranty.

So with a 2.0 rspec can the hid headlights from a track model bolt right in and how much would that cost?

I would look into a retro kit rather than replacing the entire assemblies from a Track model with HIDs since the housings are the same. The ballasts I believe are different & the levelers would be missing on the non-HID version.

So if I bought the track edition headlight assemblies it wouldn't have the ballast or levelers? Or would it just not be worth financially? What is the cost of retros and what are the pros and cons?

daydreamer has told me OEM HID's on the track version are ridiculous. Almost a grand for each headlight. I don't know if they come with everything needed to straight install and use, Tufast would be better for that.

But in my opinion, it's not worth it. But you might be able to find some on ebay off of a wrecked Coupe for cheaper. I'd try that route and then see what else you'd need to get it up and running.

Check out Chris@GCTuner, he has the proper installation kits with correct ballasts & all for dual (high beam/low beam) HIDs for our car for $150. And if you want to send him your lamps, he will do the retrofit for you for an additional $150. Add about another $150 for the whole 9 yards, including painting the assemblies which ever way you want, angel eyes, etc etc.
