One of the reasons for me getting the 4pot factory Brembos is so I don't have to spend $$ upgrading later. So I will use every mod available to make those brakes perform to their upper most limits.

As for the bushings, they look high quality like alot of polyurethane replacements I've seen in the past.....Now if I only had a KartBoy shifter to put them in........
Yeah - there's news on the Kartboy lever. He's out. worried about the market as he isn't seeing many GC's on the road.

To give some background - the Spec B Legacy guys begged for a lever. BEGGED. He made one. A year later, and I still have 6 of the original 10 I ordered. Other vendors are in the same boat, and he still has a ton. So his being a bit gunshy is understandable.

NOW! The good news. We said screw that. We'll run with it. And so we are. Drawing work started today.

I completely understand about KartBoy wanting to back out of production for the lever & it is a let down, but glad to see you guys moving forward with it anyway. It sucks that the Legacy guys didn't couph up the dough after getting them to produce that lever, but the GenCoupe will see alot more modding/tuning than the Legacy ever dreamed about IMO. Alot of people just overlook the Legacy & it's attributes moving on to the WRX in its different variations.

Part of the reason I've started purchasing & stock piling parts is to give ya'll vendors reason to continue on ahead making all these wonderful mods & to hopefully motivate others to seperate with a little $$ front their wallets doing the same. The other reason is with the enormous amount of parts I will be swapping, the cost will be severe & it just doesn't hurt as bad if I spend several hundred/month vs a shit load at once gathering all my mods. Maybe I'm trying to trick my mind into thinking I don't have a car addiction problem...LoL

People, if we don't purchase the Genesis cars, eventually Hyundai will stop making them because there is not money in it & the same holds true for these vendors. After they go through the trouble to bring us what we want, the least we can do is buy it. Originally I had planned on sticking with just a couple of companies for parts, but now I see that I will have at least on part from just about every vendor on here.

P.S I'm not trying to convince you to spend your money you can't afford to & I know we are in a recession, but if you are one of the ones that answered the vendor's questions on what you would like to see produced or you asked specifically for a certain part, you should be more motivated to buy is all. This is the time when vendors need our support most since this is a new platform that they are investing alll this R&D in not knowing what kinda of return they will get & their revenue is down anyway because of the economy. I wasn't just talking smack when I said I was going all the way with my car & I will prove it by supporting the guys that bring me the parts that will make my car stand out from the rest on the track or on the street.

OK, done with my rant if you want to call it that..

I've been wanting to stockpile as well for most of the same reasons you are Tufast. I would just like to have that car in my hands and see what needs to be done first. That and the trip to NY I'm paying off is already burning a hole in my pocket enough lol.

I'm not recommending anyone doing what I am doing, because this is not the smartest way to go about this. You should 1st have car in hand to ensure you are not buying parts for a car that you may never end up getting, then have to take a loss on all those parts trying to sell them after the fact. And like you said, you should drive it 1st to see what areas really need addressing in YOUR opinion.

I know myself well enough to know that I always get what I want if I want it bad enough & am willing to wait.

Keep in mind, I have access to drive any GenCoupe models in any configuration at any time I please as long as we have that particular model in stock.

I have a very very good idea of what I want & expect from this car when it is through.

There is no other car out there what so ever that can detour me from getting this one.

Finally, the only thing that will stop me from gettting this car is death itself & at that point, I won't care about any stock piled parts..LoL

Oh yeah & I have no responsibilities...hehehe
