1. My vehicle is a 2012 Genesis Sedan 4.8L. My GPS is the DIS model (Technology Package).
2. I prefer to use the voice command system to enter navigation commands. 3. The major problem I have with the Navigation system is that while I'll be able to respond to the voice prompts to enter the state, city, and street of my proposed destination I may not have the precise street address , i.e., the house number. Should I not have this info the system will not allow me to "Start Route Guidance". So my question is...is there any way I can obtain navigation assistance (via the voice command system) if I am unable to enter a precise house address number? |

This is a follow-up to my inquiry...
In response to my query to Hyundai Motor America here is the gist of the response I received: We understand that you where wondering if you could plot a route to a general area of a city, without a specific address. In the DIS Manual it only shows using voice commands to enter a destination when you have a specific address to input. We have received our reply from our research and currently there is not a way to search via voice command without having the specific address available. We apologize for any inconvenience that may cause. To search for a general area, or just by city, it looks as though you will need to manually input location via the map input. |
