Default MSUGeoman22's Build Thread

I figured it's about time to start one of these up for my Gen coupe. Not sure if I placed it in the right sub-forum so mods feel free to move it as you see fit.

As you guys know, I've been wandering the forums for the better part of two months now searching for where to start with my car. I've been working with PowerAXEL to help with their US tuning R&D as well as developing tuning for the products that they plan to offer. One of those products is the 7ism TD05 turbo upgrade kit that has been detailed in their vendor subforum. As far as the details go for my "stage 1" upgrade, here's the rundown on the parts so far:
7ism TD05 kit including:
Full TBE with cat deletes (no cats)
Stainless manifold
Larger FMIC w/ piping upgrade and SRI intake
730cc injectors (larger than the standard 630cc, there's a reason for this )
Tial 50mm bov
TD05-14G unit w/adjustable WG

There are a few things that I requested, such as the 730cc injectors, due to this being what I see is the first step towards more modifications. Vincent and I are working on the next step from here currently but first we plan to address this stage. Currently, the parts should be beginning manufacture by the end of this week and hopefully will begin shipping out to me next week. As soon as I get parts, there will be pictures and descriptions soon to follow. Once I get the complete list of parts, installation will begin soon after depending on the timeframe since I'm getting married August 1st. Expect to see LOTS of pictures detailing this process as well.

Last but not least, I'm sure some of you are wondering, where is the tuning solution? Well as some of you may have read, 7ism is ONLY providing the parts at this point and NOT the tuning. This is where PowerAXEL comes into the picture. We are planning on utilizing their VEO COM system to real-time tune the car once I get the parts installed. There should be dyno results and updates along with pictures to detail this process as well.

I'll leave you guys with that for now but rest assured, this is the beginning and more is coming. I'm REALLY excited about this timetable and it has taken a good bit of work to get things together. More coming to you VERY soon!

Damn, I can't WAIT to see the results on that.

I have the envy; it's going to be a year before I can afford to do much of anything.

I expect this project will be another call to magazine companies. Currently, our staff is working dyno run with D Sport Magazine and we told them we are working on turbo project soon using 7ism + PowerAXEL VEO COM.

I am sure MSUGeoman22 have to agree on this for us later, but I can see most major magazine companies wait in line or give exclusive exposure first to D Sport if they present good exposure for us first time.

For anything after installation and tune, we'll discuss together MSUGeoman22 for being part of family.

For now, I am gonna ask 7ism a small favor building your turbo kit to be consider as their sponsor for extra appearance work.

Will tell ya once I go back to Korea this weekend, since they have to agree first.

MSUGeoman22~ You do like titanium?

Titanium is sweet, what are you thinking of using it for? Perhaps a little cosmetics on the exhaust? I would love to represent you guys, 7ism, or whomever, just let me know!

BTW I'm a Geologist so of course I love titanium

Congrats MSUGeoman. Are you going with new internals right away as well?

Thanks PowerAXEL for working so hard with him on this & trying to help him with sponsorships etc.

I hope one day I too may be able to get sponsors..

Internals will probably happen shortly after we get the kit situated and move on to the IHI Isamu RX6. Both of us are working on getting a source for internals and I know that Vincent is working on cams. We decided to work at this in stages so we don't end up pushing the car too far. Hopefully we will know more about that soon but for now, 300+ whp here we come!

FYI I'm not comfortable doubling the output on any motor without internals work and I know Vincent feels similar. I'm guessing somewhere in the low 300whp range will be our goal for the kit at this point which works out good since it's most likely right where the TD05 will be happy.

What do internals cost and are injectors most of the internals?
