turbo swap for dbo

Can I use a 4b11t turbo from a evo x or dbo for a evo and expect the same performance or do I got to fab a new exhaust spill way for the turbo and intake piping

An EVO turbo will not mount up to our exhaust manifold, but if you get a tubular fabbed up with an EVO style flange, you could use it & get similar results.

X2. Synapse has a manifold you can buy to mount the EvoX turbo to the coupe. Elite Motorsports also sells a manifold for he Evo 8/9 turbos.

that sounds like a good idea, but I wonder how to pull it off while still looking OEM?

You can't, because the Evo turbo requires the manufacturing of a tubular manifold.

However if you want to produce those type of #s or more keeping the OEM exhaust manifold for stock look, check into ModernAutomotivePerformance bolt-on turbo options. MAP offers a TD05-16G BIG (350whp), TD05-20G (400whp) & a TD06-20G (450whp) direct bolt-on replacement turbos for our OEM EMs at a discount right now for testing purposes.

The other option you have is to send your OEM turbo to BeyondRedline & have them P&P it increasing the TD04-13T to a 19T wheel that I believed is clipped & good for about 300whp & costs about $800. They also offer a core charge if you don't want to wait when ordering & then when you ship back your old core, they will reimburse you.

Hope this helps.

Driveability compared to stock is almost the same. Still able to hit 15psi by 2500rpm and 22psi by 3000rpm. Only time I find myself having to downshift is if I'm lugging along in 6th gear under 60mph.

I'll be swapping in the Elite Auto Evo 9 manifold and turbo this weekend. Shooting for 330+whp.
