No doubt all of your are as antsy to get your ECU reflashed as I was.

I JUST received back my ECU today from California, and it was a great success.

The reason I am posting here though is to save everyone time and money.

Arvin and the folks at PowerAXEL have been kind enough to provide me with a slightly modified PowerX module which has the ability to connect to my laptop and retrieve codes. These codes will save in many ways

1) Time - sure you can sen PowerAXEL your ECU, but 'whats if the code is different then what they expected', it pretty well may be a wasted trip for your ECU to California and a larger inconvience if like me, it's your daily driver
2) Money - many have been charged 1 hr service by their dealer

I hope to attend as many Genesis Coupe meets as I can over the summer, so I can retrieve codes and send. If you are in southern Ontario - primarily Kitchener - Waterloo - Guelph - Cambridge, send me a PM so we can grab the information and send it to PowerAXEL so they will have a higher level of comfort that the codes are all the same.

When you say codes, are you referring to the ECU ROM ID?

Yes, ROM ID.

When I read your title, I thought OMG error code?

A friend of mine is down and he had a ride in the car stock. Then this week I got the car back and we went out for food / drinks, since he needed to be town for a meeting. Even though he wasn't driving he said there was quite a noticeable difference in the car.
