Default Beyond Redline does it again....466 WHP!

Greeting fellow Genesis Coupe enthusiasts,

So now that we have had a chance spend some time with the Power Axel software we were able to get a really rock solid tune on the car with our Exceladyne Turbo Kit. The results are nothing short of amazing! Check out the dyno graph, modification list, and driving impressions below:

The following modifications have been made to the car: FYI if its not listed, its stock.
Beyond Redline Built Long Block
  • ARP Main Studs
  • Exceladyne Connecting Rods
  • Exceladyne Low Compression Pistons
  • Exceladyne Stage 0 Cylinder Head
  • Exceladyne Prototype Camshafts
Exceladyne GT3076 Turbo Kit
  • 4" Intake Tube
  • Tial V-band GT3076 Turbocharger
  • Tial 38mm Wastegate
  • Exceladyne Turbo Adaptor
  • Exceladyne Down Pipe
Exceladyne Twin Disk Clutch Kit
Exceladyne Turbo Back Exhaust System
Exceladyne Street Intercooler System
680 CC Injectors
Walbro High Pressure Fuel Pump
High Octane Fuel
Factory ECU with custom Power Axel Reflash (tuned by Beyond Redline of course )

Let me tell you this car is an absolute BEAST! Now that we have had a chance to fix all the drive-by-wire throttle issues and other OEM programming problems, there is nothing holding us back. We are planning on taking it to the track this week Friday to get some 1/4 mile results. I will be there with an HD camera filming for your viewing pleasure.

Now that we have essentially maxed out the performance of our turbo kit we will begin working out the details for production. We expect it to be available within the next couple of months. In the mean time we will begin testing our new factory replacement turbo solution. More info to come on that later with an official press release.

Thank you to everyone who has been keeping up with our progress. We will have some great new products available for purchase in the near future. Stay tuned to this thread for track results and video links.

Congrats guys, few questions;
Are you going to make your red line cut off at 7k RPM seeing your loosing power after that?
Whats your smoothing at, is that a 3 or a 5?
What are you at and how regulated is your boost to red line?
Some people say running lean produces more power, is that why your leaning at the top end to help compensate for the engine running out of steam?
When you say, 'High Octane" are you referring to premium fuel or race gas?

I ask this only because I'm trying to come up for a viable solution to the boost reduction at red line. It's a sort of project I'm working on for like stock cars.

Some good questions. That A/F mixture looks scary lean for a turbo car after 6500rpms but they obviously know a lot more than I do. Incredible performance.

We are going to keep the cut off at 8K Rpm. We can then stay closest to peak power during gear changes.

Smoothing is at 3.

Boost is pretty stable at 27psi, falling off to 25psi near 7.5K. We were running out of injector near the top. That would explain the lean out.

We had race gas in because of the higher boost levels. Not that I don't think these kind of power levels couldn't be achieved with pump gas, just wanted to be safe as we headed into uncharted territory.

Overall I think we have achieved what I wanted to achieve for the time being. We are going to focus our efforts on getting the products out to you and perfecting what we have done already.

Out of injector. This is where we stopped for the day.

Very impressive indeed!!
Cant wait to see what kind of times you get at the track.

I am no longer getting a 2.0t and have settled with a 3.8 so none of your parts are really relevant to me, but I'm still paying attention just to see what I'm missing out on.

Great work as always.

They will be there shortly. As good as we are at making Gencoupe's fast, we aren't the best at production at the moment. There have been numerous delays (stock engine exploding) and changes made to each product to ensure the highest quality and most competitive pricing. The exhaust for example has been through 3 different mufflers so far. The one we have finally settled in on is nothing short of amazing. I can guarantee it will be the best sounding exhaust on the market!

Stay tuned!
