Question What can we do to make Genesisforums a better place?

Well for the new year we want get an idea of what everyone wants to see out of this forum. Is it more articles? More sub-forums categories? contests? technical articles? We want to make this your first stop for Genesis information so let us know what you guys want!

I think our articles & sub-forum categories is pretty good. I would like to see more technical articles, but we have everything that is available at this point. Although, once the coupe is released, I think we will see a lot more data. I for one will be downloading info along with my own DIY work with details & pics.

Always love the contests, bring 'em on, by the way when you gonna give that poster away? Not that I need it, already got one of the silver full size posters framed on my bedroom wall at the end of my bed. It's the last thiing I see when I go to sleep & the first thing I see when I wake up. Been staring at that thing for several months now just imagining all my mods.

Dont get to many forums and sub forums, only add them when needed. Nothing looks as bad as a site with lots of forums and very few posts.

Contest are ok, but content , tech are the like are what really get people going.
I got a few write ups I'll be posting when ever I get around to finishing them and we will go from there.
Edit
Oh ya simpler and cleaner themes are good

Great suggestion guys, we've tried to keep things relatively simple but at the same time cater to everyone which I know is impossible. As far as the RMR poster giveaway, later tonight I will be posting everyone that is eligble and then this weekend hold a drawing and announce the winner on Sunday night. Once I get the address of the individual who wins I'll ship it out.

honestly, the interface seems to be a bit cluttered imo. it might just be because i'm used to the other forums i'm on but i find the other forums a bit easier to navigate. if you want a screen shot i can take one for ya.

still, it's an awesome forum

Build your car your way.

This might be a little far fetched because I don't know how far your skilz extend sabba, but what's the chance you could devise a build your GenCoupe thread. Kinda like a mix between building your car at Hyundai.com & video game after market parts purchases. Have a short (3-4) selection of front & rear bumpers, front & rear spoilers/splitters, side skirts, hoods, larger selection of wheels, alow for drop & window tint, & a palet of paint choices, esp factory colors. That way we could devise our car the way we think we want it to look & actually see if it looks good before doing the mods.

Yeah post up some screen shots if you want, we're open to any suggestions. We've tried to model some of the other sites out there, like srtforums.

That's a great idea Tufast but way behind my skills. If anyone else is up to the challenge please feel free to go at it.

Would I would like to maybe implement is a reviews section of parts. Say you bought ABC exhaust sytem, you could review it, tell us how much you paid, where you got it, how much HP it gave you, maybe pics and sound clips...

I think this site is very well laid out. As people actually start driving these cars, there will be more traffic. Having it set up this detailed from the beginning is a good idea. Easier to access specific info quickly, rather than doing complete site searches. Just my opinion. But I think it is great as is.

I made something like that when I worked at Warmoth Guitars.com, where you could pick your wood for the guitar and then the paint and neck style etc. It is not an easy or quick project it took about 3 months with me and a full time programmer. In the real job world that typr of project would fetch about 30k on up depending on what is wanted. It would be cool but not sure i want to take on something that big.

Pleeeease, just do it as a spare time adventure so to speak. Let it take 6mos-1yr, what ever, no rush. I would worship you as a programming god& would call you Sir Lord Calvert from here on out
